A historic town with tree-lined streets, a gazebo in the Borough Park that is host to a variety of events, and antique shops along Main Street, Hopewell Borough provides a vibrant setting for citizens of all ages.

Over the years, the Borough has participated in many efforts to improve the quality of life and environmental health in the community.  The Association has worked with Hopewell Borough to restore streambanks on the Beden Brook, located in the Borough Park, and has continually monitored the water quality in this and other streams in the Borough.  Hopewell Borough has also been successful in protecting the many historic resources in town, including buildings, landmarks, and farmland.

Recent activities in Hopewell Borough include:

  • Protecting stream corridors through conservation easements.
  • Utilizing design standards in town to maintain the historic character of the Borough.  New housing on the main street and renovations to older homes have been fully incorporated into the look of the town.
  • Continuing streambank restorations in the park, including maintenance of the park’s two footbridges that cross the Beden Brook.
  • Exploring options for new municipal facilities and allowing the public to participate in the process.
