Jim is responsible for the overall direction and management of the Association, including drafting and overseeing a yearly budget and operating plan. He is a chief public spokesperson for the Association on environmental issues, and is directly responsible to the Board of Trustees.

Rich is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting and is also staff liaison to the Finance Committee.

Gwen is heading the Association's coordination with public communication and media including our quarterly newsletter, The Wellspring.
Polly Ranson, Membership and Development, pranson@thewatershed.org
Polly is primarily responsible for managing the database of current and prospective donors, processing gifts received by the Watershed, and producing development reports. She is temporarly acting as the Director of Membership and Development and oversees efforts to build financial support for the Watershed Association and its programs, from private individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Our office managers greet all Johnson Environmental Center visitors and manage central telephone reception. They assist all Assocation staff in their daily work as well as take on the special role as event coordinators for the Association's largest fundraisers, the Annual Butterfly Festival and the WatershedFest.

Jennifer directs programming and staff of the watershed management program while being an Environmental Policy Specialist for the Municipal Assessment Program. She works with township planners, engineers, and environmental organizations, responding to local environmental issues.
Joan McGee, Environmental Policy Specialist, jmcgee@thewatershed.org
As coordinator of the Program for Municipal Excellence, Joan works with municipalities to assess their planning and regulatory practices and recommend revisions to better protect natural resources.
Alyse Greenberg, Watershed Institute Coodinator, agreenberg@thewatershed.org
Alyse leads the Watershed Institute, a consolidated resource that provides tailored advice to watershed associations throughout New Jersey. She also maintains a listserv.

Muriel Buttinger Nature Center
Jeff Hoagland, Environmental Education Director, jhoagland@thewatershed.org
Driven by an overwhelming passion for the natural world, Jeff has directed the Education Program since 1984. Jeff founded the Buttinger Nature Center in 1989 and continues to provide the vision and direction for the education program, overseeing the staff and interns. He also provides workshops for classroom teachers interested in incorporating the environment into their classroom.

Oversees the day to day operations of the Buttinger Nature Center, which includes scheduling, registering and confirming all programs at the Nature Center.

Our Teacher Naturalists conduct and create Education Center programs for kids of all ages, from pre-school to adults and families. They lead a wide variety of nature programs including Fungus Among Us, Insect Safari, and Bats in your Belfry. They also oversee Critter Care and, develop and maintain the Education Center displays.

As our environmental scientist, Peggy manages our Watershed Assessment and Stream Restoration projects.

Beth is responsible for research and writing publications on building the capacity of NJ watershed associations. Beth also manages the StreamWatch volunteer stream monitoring program.

Janel is responsible for mapping and geographic information analysis in support of all the
Association's programs and maintains the Association's internal and public information systems. She also administrators the activities of the GIS Center at Stony Brook.

Nick supports the Association's programs with mapping and geographic information analysis to better understand the current conditions of the Watershed and provide historical perspective on the changes and impacts on our local environment.

Bay oversees the Watershed Reserve and is also in charge of Open Space Acquisitions.

Amy coordinates the River Friendly Programs, including Business, Golf Courses and Residents.
